I just got a new HP computer with Windows 10.  I know that I had to go thru some gyrations to get a driver for my prior Windows 10 computer (Lenovo) to run my HP 1012 printer. I was prepared to follow suit but I have neither a DOT 4 or Universal USB option for choosing a port. Given this is an HP computer (Laptop 17 by 3xxx) can you help? Thank youy.

@azcapmedia, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

The printer driver for win 10 OS is not available on the HP Support site due to the printer's age. 

However, you may install the printer using Windows built-in driver

Refer to this document to know how.
