deskjet 1000 J110a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

From the UK.

I have been using a 'deskjet 1000 J110a' printer on a Windows 7 PC, but now have a new HP Windows 10 PC.

Is it possible to install this  printer on this different PC?

Sure,

Please ensure the USB is unplugged.

 

If it was plugged open the control panel > Devices and Printers and remove any copy of your printer by right lcicking it and selecting Remove Device.

 

Next download and install the printer softwre below, only connect the USB once being prompt doing so:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL34557/dj-109016-3/DJ1000_J110_1313-1.exe

I will try this as soon as I get home, and will let you know how it works.

This software installed my printer and I was able to print a sample page first time.
