@Blacksmith-1944,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues printing is color.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Are you able to make a copy in color?

Meanwhile, I recommend you root uninstall the printer and then reinstall it and check if it helps.

Here is how it is done.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Restart the PC

14.) Download and install the printer software from the below link.

I have run all the above procedures maybe 10-15 times....... IT DOES NOT WORK.........

The problem lies in the fact a recent Windows 10 update killed the Driver for my Officejet 4655 (4650 series).. And no amount of reloading the same (broken driver) will restore color printing....  The printer is fine, prints color from my Android tablet, from wifes old Sony PC  with XP and from My Dell  With Win 10 with a  Microsoft IPP universal printer driver (a solution I discovered by accident) , however I can not get any color printing from my HP Desktop  PC to my HP 4655, and I can not get the Microsoft IPP drive to load in my problem HP PC...
HP tech support can not seem to understand  its a WIN 10 and HP driver combination that is broken, not the physical printer....

All the help i get is delete this and that and reload same broken driver.... Been at this for 4-5 days and no happiness repeating same thing that does not work.... Since WIN 10 update I do not get the choice of "Color" or "Black and White" in any of my  printer properties or setups on my  HP PC with the standard hp 4655 driver ...
Even the print test page works from damaged PC with damaged driver, how ever even the HP logo on test page is in monochrome, when  my other operating computers print the test page with the HP logo in color as it should be ... Figure that one out....
All indication with the system in "fault" is damaged driver of Officejet 4655,  any system using something other than the WIN 10 & HP 4650 driver work fine....
