HP easystart_7_1_16 will not install. It is hung up on Windows 11. Can I get an earlier version of easystart?

If HP Easy Start is not installing or is getting stuck on Windows 11, there are a few steps you may try to resolve the issue:

Troubleshooting Steps

Restart your computer and try installing HP Easy Start again after the system has rebooted.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure your Windows 11 is up-to-date by going to Settings > Windows Update, and downloading any available updates.

Run HP Easy Start as Administrator:

  • Right-click on the HP Easy Start executable file and select "Run as administrator" to see if it progresses further.

Ensure Compatibility:

  • Check if the version of HP Easy Start you are using is compatible with Windows 11. You can check for compatibility options via HP Support or the software documentation.

Clean Installation:

  • Uninstall any existing, incomplete installations. You might want to clean temporary installation files using Disk Cleanup or a third-party cleaner tool.

Use Device Manager for Printer Installation:

  • If HP Easy Start continues to have issues, you can try installing your printer manually via Device Manager.

Unfortunately, accessing earlier versions of HP Easy Start directly from HP is generally not supported as HP typically provides the latest version for download.
