Does anyone know if it is possible to set this up an HP Smart Tank 7005 with a wired connection?
No where does it give any indication of how to do so and the set up refers only to WiFi connection, however, the machine does have a socket for a physical connection and my computer does detect it when I plug it in. I tried this when I first got the machine but reached a point in the set up where I was asked to 'input the passcode supplied when you purchased the machine'. I had no idea what this was so, due to lack of time, I set up as wireless instead. It connected without too much difficulty, so I thought perhaps this would prove to be OK.
Now, a month later, I am getting the expected issues with WiFi and having spent an hour this morning troubleshooting and getting the printer back on line I would really like to switch to the more reliable and convenient wired option if it's possible. Any advice on whether this possible and how to go about it would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Thanks.
That's what I did but I got stuck when I was asked for a password. I can now see that this tells me where to find the password or PIN, so hopefully that will work. I can't remember whether I found this manual initially, if I did then I must have missed that bit!
I'm actually away at the moment and won't be back to try this for at least 6 weeks but now I know where to find the PIN there is no reason why this shouldn't work. Very helpful.
