Officejet Pro 9015
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Unable to install wireless printer connection after recent Windows upgrade.  Running Windows 10 Home edition 64 bit version 1903 OS build 18362.959.  Computer is Dell XPSL521X with 8GB ram.  Trying to connect new Officejet Pro 9015.  Turned off windows and Norton firewall.  Printer connects to home network and my laptop using Print and Scan Doctor 5.3.1.  Scan doctor indicates printer successfully installed. Windows control panel sees the printer connection but indicates driver unavailable.  Fax seen as installed as default printer even though I skipped this step as I have no land line to fax from.  Have tried to download driver and software from HP site with same result.  Had same problem with prior printer Officejet 5252 which caused me to upgrade to current printer.  Now at a standstill and very frustrated!!

Hi there

I just recently got around it by :
1. Go to the driver download page for printer
2. Download the "Basic" Driver
3. Extract it using something like 7-zip (right-click -> 7-zip -> extract to...)
4. open the run window using Win Key + R
5. type "control printers"
6. In the window that opens, click "Add a Printer"
7. Click "The printer that I want isn't listed"
8. Select the "Add a printer using the TCP/IP address or hostname" radio button
9. Enter the IP address of the printer and make sure the checkbox for "Query the printer and automatically select the driver to use" is NOT selected.
10. In the window that opens after it contacts the printer, select "Have Disk"
11. Navigate to the extracted Basic driver that you extracted in step 3
12. I used the "hpygid20_v4.inf" information file and selected the non-PCL3 version and everything now works as desired.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for the help.  Tried what you recommended but could not find the file you used.  Basic driver is an application and I could not find the individual files.

Which file that you are not able to find?

hpygid20_v4.inf

I had the same result.  Can't find file hpygid20_v4.inf anywhere on my PC.
