Android 8.0 - 8.1 Oreo

When printing from Office on smartphone, it doesn't connect very well to the printer and prints very slowly then stops; sometimes it will print a third of a page then a black line will print and the printer releases the page without the full text on it.

I have done the tests on the printer and it seems to be fine after cleaning etc. I just want to be able to print documents from the HP app, which I seem to be only able to print PDFs and directly from apps or the Internet.

Please can someone help me out.

Greetings and Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Don't worry, I'm here to help!

Let's try these steps -

Step 1 Check for Updates on your phone.

Step 2 Re-install the HP Smart app.

Step 3 Clear the Android OS Print Spooler cache -

1) On your Android device, tap the Settings icon, and then select Apps or Applications.
2) Select Show System Apps.
3) Scroll down the list, and then select Print Spooler.
Depending on your Android device, tap Storage, and then select Print Spooler.
4) Select Clear Cache and Clear Data.
5) Open the item you want to print, tap the menu icon , and then tap Print.
A print preview screen displays.
6) Next to Select a printer, tap the down arrow to view the printer list, and then select your printer.

Hope this helps!

Let me know how that goes.
