Microsoft Windows 11

Xpress 2830dw printer. Is not duplex printing. Preferences will not allow selecting duplex printing.

Couple of possible issues:

 

1. You are using a Microsoft IPP driver which does not support advanced functions like duplex. Install the correct driver if that is the case.

 

2. Driver failed to detect duplex function of printer. To check this:

 

On your computer, go to control panel, right click on devices and printers and select open from the drop down menu. Right click on the icon for your printer and select "printer properties"  from the drop down menu. Click on the device settings tab and scroll down and find "duplex unit" and make sure it shows as installed. Change to installed if not.

 

Restart the program you are trying to print from and you should now have the option to duplex.
