Hi @FJT18,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding network error in the HP Smart App!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Internet Connection:

  • Ensure your device is connected to a stable internet connection.
  • Verify that the Wi-Fi network is functioning correctly and you have internet access.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your router/modem to refresh the network connection.
  • Also restart your printer and the device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) on which you are using the HP Smart app.

Update HP Smart App:

  • Make sure you are using the latest version of the HP Smart app.
  • Check for updates in the app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS).

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Uninstall the HP Smart app from your device.
  • Restart your device.
  • Reinstall the app from the app store.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device.
  • Ensure the printer is turned on and properly connected to the network.

Firewall and Antivirus Settings:

  • Sometimes firewall or antivirus software can interfere with network connections. Ensure your firewall or antivirus settings allow the HP Smart app to communicate over the network.

Proxy Settings:

  • If you are using a proxy server, try disabling it temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.

Mobile Data Connection:

  • If you are using a mobile device, ensure you are connected to Wi-Fi and not relying on mobile data. Mobile data connections can sometimes cause network errors.

I hope this helps.
