The instructions in the manual for disable the anonymous usage storage doesn't work on my printer.   It is not under Settings/Preferences.  How can I disable this?

This is the instructions in the manual to disable the anonymous usage information but this option is not in the Setup/Preferences in my Printer.  HP Envy 7640

To disable the usage information function
1. From the printer control panel, touch Setup .
2. Touch Preferences .
3. Flick to the end of the option list and switch off the Automatically Send Anonymous Data and Store
Anonymous Usage Information options.

Can you please tell me how I can disable it?

HP Recommended

@PunkieS I suggest you upgrade he firmware of the printer and check if the options to disable the same appears,

And let me know how that pans out.

It says my printer is up to date.  Is there another way?

Disable webservices to disable sharing information

--->Touch on the wifi icon ((i)) on the printer, and take down the IP address
--->Open a web browser (ex Chrome or Mozilla) and type in the printer's IP
---> click on webservices and remove webservices

Let me know if this helps!
