@blythiea, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Scheduling Automatic Printer Maintenance for HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e All-in-One Printer comes with a convenient feature to schedule maintenance tasks automatically, which helps you avoid delays when you need to print. Here's how you can set up the automatic schedule for printer maintenance:

Open the HP Printer Software:

  • On your computer, click the Start button.
  • Type HP Printer Assistant in the search bar and press Enter to open the HP Printer software.

Access Maintenance Settings:

  • In the HP Printer Assistant, navigate to the Settings tab.
  • Select Printer Maintenance or Tools.

Configure Schedule On and Off:

  • Look for Schedule On and Off settings under the maintenance options.
  • Enable the schedule settings and set the time you'd like the printer to turn on and off automatically. For example, you can set the printer to turn on at 8:00 AM and turn off at 8:00 PM from Monday to Friday.

Select Periodic Maintenance Tasks:

  • There might be specific options to schedule maintenance tasks like printhead cleaning.
  • Choose the desired maintenance tasks and set the frequency or time when these tasks should be executed.

Save Settings:

  • After configuring the schedule, click Apply or Save to ensure the settings are updated.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
