@knoet2007, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to scan from your Mac with Big Sur installed.

This printer is not AirPrint compatible and has no printer driver available on the HP Support site to work on macOS 11 due to its age.

This printer does not support the HP Smart app too on a Mac.

For more info on this issue, refer to this document.

However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.

NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi,

I tried both HP Uninstaller.zip and  Gutenprint drivers and this doesnt work of Bg Sur. It clearly says "This document is for HP printers, macOS Catalina, and macOS Mojave."

HP Printers - A [software component] will damage your computer message displays when printing or while installing (macOS)

This document is for HP printers, macOS Catalina, and macOS Mojave.
Your printer might experience a temporary disruption after the credentials on some older versions of Mac drivers were unintentionally revoked. HP has worked with Apple to restore these drivers, but some printers might still be affected.
The symptoms of the disruptions can include the following messages:

If your printer is still unable to print, follow the instructions below to remove and reinstall the HP printer software.
  1. Double-click the HP Uninstaller icon.
