Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂

I understand that you're facing print quality issues with your HP DeskJet 3722 All-in-One Printer. The color printing is fine and the black color is not good.

I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.

Is the printer able to make a photocopy? If yes then it indicates that the printer and ink cartridges are fine.

Did you clean the ink cartridges using the software or manually?

Meanwhile, if you have not cleaned the black ink cartridge manually then please try to clean it manually. The steps mentioned in "Step 13: Manually clean the area around the ink nozzles" from this HP document will help: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-deskjet-3700-all-in-one-printer-series/8954253/model/1126202...

If the issue still persists then it could be a defective ink cartridge. You may try printing with an alternate black ink cartridge (if available). Else you may contact our HP phone support team to seek a replacement for the black ink cartridge.

The phone support team can be reached via this link: www.hp.com/contacthp

I Hope this information helps. Feel free to keep me posted for any further assistance.

Good luck! 🙂

I read this quick post.  I am glad that an alternate cartridge did the trick for you. It is great to have you back and your patience is greatly appreciated. As @MKazi is out for the day, I am responding on his behalf.
