We bought the new printer 9120e but the setup cartridges dont work. So we bought new original HP 937 cartridges and the printer now says it needs the setup cartridges.  I check on the web for solution and found out that I need to perform a OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer 9120e.
But how? There is no instruction for this specific model. Pls can one of the Mods send me the instructions to do this? many thanks

Thank you for reaching out. I can understand how frustrating this is, especially with a brand-new HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e. I'll be happy to help you work through this.

To better understand what's happening, could you please share the following?

  • A clear photo of the setup cartridges that came with the printer.
  • A clear photo of the HP 937 cartridges you purchased.
  • A photo of the message displayed on the printer screen indicating that the setup cartridges are required.

These details will help us verify the cartridge status and determine the best way to proceed.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • If third-party or refilled cartridges were installed during the initial setup, the printer will not complete the initialization process. Only genuine HP setup cartridges can be used to complete the first-time printer initialization.

Once you share the photos and the error message, we'll be able to review everything with you and guide you to the correct resolution. We're happy to help and will work with you to get the printer set up successfully.
