HP officejet pro 8132e
Hello,

How can I get around the "Use SETUP Cartridges" error message even with the Setup cartridges in place?

Could you kindly offer guidance on how to resolve this issue since this printer is entirely new?

Thank you very much

Hi @forest325,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you're seeing the "Use SETUP Cartridges" error on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8132e, even though the correct setup cartridges are installed, here are the steps to resolve the issue:

1. Check the Cartridges

  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Ensure all cartridges are labelled “SETUP” and are installed in the correct color-coded slots.
  • Remove and reinsert each cartridge, pressing down until it clicks into place.

2. Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it from the wall for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
