Yes, you can connect your HP DeskJet 2820e to a MacBook Air running macOS Big Sur. The printer supports macOS 11 Big Sur and offers wireless printing via AirPrint.

 

Steps to Connect:

 

Ensure Wi-Fi is Enabled on the Printer

  • On the printer’s control panel, press the Wi-Fi button to activate wireless mode.
  • If needed, restore Wi-Fi setup mode by holding the Wi-Fi button for 5 seconds.

 

Connect to Wi-Fi Network

  • Open System PreferencesPrinters & Scanners on your Mac.
  • Click Add Printer and select HP DeskJet 2820e from the list.

 

Use AirPrint for Driver-Free Printing

  • macOS Big Sur supports AirPrint, meaning you don’t need to install additional drivers.
  • If AirPrint doesn’t work, download the latest HP Smart app from the HP Support page.
