I understand you are getting the "cannot delete output file" error during the installation of your HP Deskjet F2280 All-In-One Printer driver on Windows 10 can be caused by several issues, including permissions problems, existing corrupted files, or conflicts with other software.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Step 1: Check File Permissions
- Right-click the installer file and select Properties.
- Go to the Security tab.
- Make sure your user account has Full Control.
- Click Apply and then OK.
Step 2: Run as Administrator
- Right-click the installer file.
- Select Run as administrator.
Step 3: Disable Antivirus and Firewall
Sometimes, antivirus or firewall software can interfere with the installation process.
- Temporarily disable your antivirus software.
- Temporarily disable your firewall.
Step 4: Clean Temporary Files
- Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type temp and press Enter.
- Delete all files in the temp folder.
- Repeat the above steps with %temp% and C:\Windows\Temp.
Step 5: Use HP Print and Scan Doctor HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Step 6: Uninstall Previous Drivers
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Printers or Print queues.
- Right-click your HP Deskjet F2280 and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your computer.

- Type msconfig and press Enter.

Step 8: Download Latest Driver
- Go to the HP Support website.
- Download the latest driver for your HP Deskjet F2280.
- Run the downloaded file and follow the installation instructions.
