macOS 10.13 High Sierra

can't print, error message says encryption credentials have expired.  I've deleted and re-connected the printer and recycled the router.  Was disconnected after 40 minutes on hold with HP.  Is there any way to fix this and be able to print?

The printer has generated an expired server certificate. To resolve this issue please follow the directions outlined in the document "'Encryption Credentials Expired' Error Displays".
