HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130fw
Microsoft Windows 11

This is a continuing and apparently unresolvable problem.  It began with the upgrade to Windows 11.  Two printers are

LaserJet Pro MFP130 and Office Jet Pro 8710.  Neither work properly.  I'll skip the litany of problems, there are several threads from me here, and get to a possible solution.

I now want to delete and re-install both.  When the general instructions are found to delete a printer, there is not option to delete.  I find delete instructions on several web sites, but the clickable option to delete is not on my screen.

I am really weary of messing with the problem.  I am moving towards the point of throwing both in the trash and finding another brand.  But when they will work, they do work fine.

Thank you for your time.

Logged on my computer as administrator and uninstalled ALL the HP software.  Tried to re-install, selected this printer:  Office Jet Pro 8710

and wound up here:

here:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-pro-8710-all-in-one-printer-series/790...

There is an install button.  Click it.  It takes me here:

https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/hp-smart/9WZDNCRFHWLH?hl=en-us&gl=us

There is nothing there about installing anything.  Went through the cycle again in case I entered something wrong.  Same results.  I cannot install HP anything.

Hi @jag7769 ,

Please try to install Officejet 8710 with next driver:

>> OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer series Basic Driver

Leaving out most of the notes I took:

Clicked button: Install HP Easy Start

Response: We’re sorry, we don’t support this browser.

I closed the browser before starting the install and the install utility opened it.  “YOU” (meaning the HP installed package) opened the browser.  Not me.  There is no URL line and nothing indicating the browser brand.

I presume you don’t support Microsoft Edge.  Chrome is also installed.

I am really weary of messing with the HP printers under Windows 11.

What is the next step?

After walking away, lets just say disappointed, returned to the computer.

When closing the previously noted dialog it provided a button to copy link to clipboard. Did so. Started Chrome and pasted in link.

It opened a page with button Get Software.  Clicked it.

That resulted in:  404: Not Found

Oh Really??!!

Does the link fit here?
