Im trying to install the driver or drivers for my hp color laserjet printer cp2025dn. I have had zero problems with the printer but hp won't assist because its ten years old. They make products that last so long they never wear out in this case, atleast

The postscript and PCL6 drivers were updated just recently: June 2026

They are the "universal" drivers and will work for windows 7,8,10 or 11.  I assume the problem is windows.  My only experience with MacOS was a hackintosh years ago.

 

Click here and select windows 7, 64 bit or 11, makes no difference.

Do not do the firmware update as it may require you to buy HP toners.

 

If you have an ARM type cpu then possibly these drivers may work

Thank you for your responses! I was able to stop the kerplunking sound! 

The printer is a different story still no luck in getting drivers downloaded ...

Is it a download problem?  Windows "S" cannot download except by using the Microsoft store.   Sometimes a download fails and when you try again the original partial download prevents the new download from working.  

Or is the problem the app is actually downloaded but will not install or not work after installing?
