I have an inkjet 5740 all-in-one that will not scan today for some reason. I have Windows 10 that may have been updated recently. I attempted to do a little trouble shooting. Could not run the printscan doctor etc.. I removed my printer, fax, scanner etc.. and downloaded the software and installed it, it seems to have only installed the printer but not the scanner... I downloaded the print scan dr. but it said it could not delete a file when done extracting and it will not work. I have admin privileges and if prompted for password it has worked. I don't know what to do now.
