Hi @StarPuppy11,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating it can be when you can’t sign in to your HP Smart account, especially on Windows 11, when everything else seems fine. This issue usually happens due to:

  • Corrupted HP Smart app cache
  • Outdated app version
  • Windows account or network conflicts
  • Firewall or security settings are blocking HP Smart

Let’s fix this step by step:

Step 1: Check Internet & Firewall

  • Ensure your laptop is connected to a stable network.
  • Temporarily disable any VPN or firewall that might block HP Smart.

Step 2: Update HP Smart App

Step 3: Clear HP app Cache

  • Press Windows + R, type: %localappdata%\Packages\AD2F1837.HPPrinterControl_*
  • Delete the LocalCache folder.
  • Restart the app and try signing in again.

Step 4: Sign in via Browser

  • Go to HP Smart Web and sign in.
  • If it works on the browser but not the app, the issue is app-related.

Step 5: Check Windows Account Permissions

  • Ensure you’re logged into Windows with an account that has admin rights.
  • The HP app sometimes fails under restricted profiles.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
