Hi   @brew51,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how  it must feel when your printer won’t let you sign in, and I’ll do my best to help you get back on track quickly.

Here are a few steps you can try right away:

  1. Restart the printer and router: Power them off, wait about 30 seconds, then turn them back on.
  2. Check your HP account credentials: Make sure you’re using the correct email and password for HP Smart.
  3. Update HP app: If you’re signing in through the app, ensure it’s the latest version.
  4. Printer reset: If the issue persists, you may try a network reset on the printer (hold the Wireless button until the light blinks, then reconnect).

Could you let me know:

  • Are you trying to sign in on the printer itself, or through the HP  app on your phone/computer?
  • Do you see any specific error message when the sign‑in fails?

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
