cannot update firmware from 20080813 to 20130923, I tried all the suggestions in other post but am wondering if I need to upgrade in steps since I'm so downlevel, also where can I find older firmware versions.

today when I was going to try a direct connect to my printer from my laptop to eliminate the router I first checked the printer again and it had the upgraded code.  Don't know what or how and cannot explain why it got updated, any try to explain would be a guess so I won't even try.  Just happy it was finally updated and I can go on to other issues.

Do you get any error message when you try to update?

Using the updater I get no errors and it completes with a Happy Face but doesn't update the firmware in the printer.  I have no RFU setting in my menu tree so couldn't try that fix.  The upgrade link sent didn't help.

I downloaded HP Web Jetadmin 10.4 and I get a warning when I upgrade the firmware using Jetadmin, see picture I posted
