Hi @KLO000,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer is not waking up from sleep mode, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Check the Power Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly plugged into a working power outlet and the power light is on.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer using the power button, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

Use the Control Panel:

  • On the printer's control panel, check if there is any option to wake up the printer by pressing the power button or touching the display.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can check for updates via the HP Support Assistant HP Support Assistant | HP® Support or from the printer's control panel under settings.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure your printer drivers are updated. You can update them using the HP Support website by downloading the latest drivers for your printer model. Official HP® Support

Disable Sleep Mode (as a workaround):

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the power settings and disable sleep mode to prevent future occurrences.

Test Printer Functionality:

  • Once you have performed the steps above, try printing a test page to ensure the printer is functioning correctly.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
