Hi @bobH22,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've changed your router and are having trouble connecting your HP ENVY 6020e All-In-One Printer to the new router, you may need to update the printer's wireless settings. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you with the process.

Prepare for Setup:

  • Make sure your printer is turned on.
  • Ensure that your computer or mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that you want the printer to connect to.

Access the Printer's Wireless Settings:

  • On the printer control panel, press the Wireless icon or open the Network menu to access the wireless settings.

Run Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • Look for an option like "Wireless Setup Wizard" or "Network Setup" in the wireless settings.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):

  • If your router supports WPS, you can use the WPS method to connect your printer. Press the WPS button on your router and then press the WPS button on your printer (if available).

Print a Wireless Network Test Report:

  • After updating the wireless settings, print a wireless network test report from the printer to verify that it is connected to the new Wi-Fi network.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can download the latest drivers from the HP official website.

Restart the Printer and Router:

  • Turn off the printer and your router. Wait for a minute, and then turn them back on. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

  • Ensure that your firewall or antivirus software is not blocking the printer's connection.

Reinstall the Printer:

  • If all else fails, you may need to uninstall the printer software on your computer and reinstall it. Follow the instructions provided by HP for your specific operating system.

By following these steps, you should be able to successfully connect your HP ENVY 6020e All-In-One Printer to the new router.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi Alden

Thanks for your help. I should have replied to you sooner but I was away. Before I got your message I clicked on the spanner icon in HP Smart page and it eventually asked me to give the password for the new router. When I entered it everything was ok. If I had known this earlier I could have saved myself a lot of time (hours) and stress working through the set up instructions, etc,
