Printed in color for years. All of a sudden, a Microsoft software update and I cannot select color in the print driver. I do not have the option to print in color.

One common cause we see for this is that during the update Microsoft replaces the HP driver with a Microsoft IPP driver or Class driver which do not support all features. Do this to check:

On your computer go to control panel>devices and printers and then right click on the icon for your printer and select printer properties from the drop down menu. Then click on the advanced tab and see what driver is showing as installed. If it is not the correct driver, click the down arrow next to the driver name and select the correct driver from the drop down menu.

If you do not see an HP driver for your printer you may need to run the installation program again.
