Hi @RMMy,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering an error with the code 0x80070570 on your HP Smart Tank Plus 555 wireless printer after changing your router, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Restart your Printer and Router: Begin by turning off both your printer and router. After a few seconds, turn them back on. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity problems.
  • Check Network Settings: Verify that your printer's network settings are correctly configured to connect to your new router. Access the printer's control panel or settings menu to check if the wireless network information matches your new router's network settings.
  • Reconnect Printer to the Network: Use the printer's control panel or settings menu to reconnect the printer to your new wireless network. Make sure to enter the correct network name (SSID) and password.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Visit the HP support website and search for the latest firmware updates for your Smart Tank Plus 555 printer. If there are any available updates, download and install them following the provided instructions. Updated firmware can often fix compatibility issues and improve overall performance.
  • Reset Printer Settings: As a last resort, you can reset your printer's network settings to the factory defaults. Consult your printer's manual or HP support website for specific instructions on how to perform a network reset. After the reset, you'll need to reconfigure the printer's network settings and reconnect it to your new router.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for replying. We tried all you suggested with no joy,  but my husband  managed to reset the printer yesterday.... it arms that despite uninstalling, reinstalling & resetting the pc & printer, it hadn't erased the previous router details. He managed to do a factory reset which worked, so it's now working perfectly again.
