Product: hp officejet pro 8500

hp officejet pro 8500 A910 all in one series...... i'm just installing for the first time..... printing and scanning are working but right before and after i scan i get a connection error.... it says either i have lost my connection or HP scan application cannot detect the OCR software.... i try and print and scan right after that and it connects..... so, i'm assuming its not the connection but the OCR software.... Now heres the million dollar question, what is the OCR software and where can i get it?
