Posting here as got no where attempting top open a support case with HP.
I wanted to report what appears to be a problem with the full solution software/driver install for the HP LaserJet M1536dnf printer.
what I submitted to HP was:
We have the latest download for your HP LJ M1536dnf printer for full software. file downloaded was named "hp_M1530_MFP-full_Solution_15188. When try to install under Windows 10, it runs to completion but afterwards the HP Scan program and other components are missing and not installed. only thing that appears successfully installed is the printer icon and scan/print drivers. however without additional scan software, you are not able to scan to/from the printer. please fix this installer so can be used on Windows 10. same file to download whether Win 7 or Win 10 drivers selected.
anyone else experienced this issue under Windows 10?
ticket was closed telling me to go online and do chat support (not option given product discontinued), this forum, etc.

Hi @Stuart2018
While reviewing, I personally agree there might be some issue in here and could find similar posts reporting similar behavior, I am able to personally see issues while installing the scanning software portion too, however, don't have any access to the specific model, this is just my personal opinion and I did report it to HP to investigate it.
Please uninstall the HP Software first, then right-click the Date and Time and select Adjust Date/Time.
Disable Set Time Automatically and press Change to manually set the time.
Change the date to January 31, 2020, and press OK, and now reinstall the HP Software and try scanning, please let me know the results now.
Assuming you are able to scan prior to changing the current date and time back, please set it back to the current time or automatically and try scanning again, may you still scan or not?
Please let me know the results,
Shlomi
