I use the HP Support Assistant for my laptop, and it is showing up fine.
The printer that is currently showing in the HP Support Assistant is no longer used. There is no "X" next to it to delete it from there.
How do I delete the PRINTER ONLY from showing up on this?
Thank you

Hi @lu34,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your HP Support Assistant showing an old printer that you want removed. Let’s go through a few checks.
Step 1: Remove the Printer from Windows
- Click Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select the printer you no longer use.
- Click Remove device.
- Restart the computer.
- Open HP Support Assistant and check if the printer still appears.
Note: HP Support Assistant syncs devices detected by Windows.
Step 2: Remove the Printer Inside HP Support Assistant
- Open HP Support Assistant.
- Go to the My devices tab.
- Select the printer tile.
- Look for Remove this device or Remove from My devices (usually under the three-dot menu or Device details).
- Confirm removal if the option appears.
- If no removal option is visible, continue to the next step.
Step 3: Sign Out and Sign Back In
- Open HP Support Assistant.
- Click your profile name or icon.
- Select Sign out.
- Close HP Support Assistant completely.
- Reopen it and sign back in.
- Check if the unused printer is still listed.
- Sometimes the device list refreshes after account sync.
Step 4: Reset HP Support Assistant Device Cache
- Close HP Support Assistant.
- Press Windows + R.
- Type %programdata% and press Enter.
- Open the HP folder.
- Delete the folders named HP Support Framework and HP Support Assistant (if present).
- Restart the computer.
- Open HP Support Assistant again and allow it to rescan devices.
CAUTION: Do not delete other system folders.
If the printer still appears, confirm whether it shows as a locally detected device or an account-linked device under your HP account profile.
I hope this helps.
