I have a deskjet3050 connected to my Acer Chromebook 15 via USB cable. the chromebook shows the printer connected and ready to print. When I select a document or a webpage to print the preview screen will not load the document. This problem just arose in the last day or so.....what happened, and how  do I fix it?

@Bart757

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  1. Open the item you want to print.

  2. Click the Chrome browser Settings icon , and then select Print.

    Clicking the Chrome settings icon, and then selecting Print

  3. Next to Destination, click Change, and then select your printer.

    Select your printer from Destinations

  4. Change any desired print settings, and then click Print.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
