At this writing --

Sorry -- The embedded Dynamic Security protection in the printer cannot be switched OFF or disabled.

The printer requires use of HP-Chipped ink cartridges.

Ask your ink seller whether their product adheres to this requirement.

Use of HP-chipped cartridges is allowed by Dynamic Security and generally tolerated by the printer.

Use of HP-chipped cartridges is not supported.

"there isn't a direct method to cancel or disable this security feature as it is built into the printer's firmware"

are there a non direct method?

the printer costs less than buying original cartridges.

before the last firmware vesion update it was working with the same cartridges.

I tried also a firmware downgrade but when the printer update application tries to install the old version then the printer control pannel shows that it's searching for updates and it remains stuck there untill the update application says that the update was failed.

is there some way to bypass it, or just to buy a new printer?

thanks

Ah, a case of a non-straight forward answer.

Unfortunate -

I will remove the ambiguous bits from my first post.

Apologies for the inconvenience.  😒

Unless something changes in the way HP manages its printers,

The following is True --

  • There is no legal way to bypass the embedded security on a printer protected Dynamic Security.
  • There is no legal way to downgrade the firmware to bypass the embedded security on a printer protected by Dynamic Security.

Purchase a different printer?

Your choice --

We do not judge HP policy nor do we judge what people decide to do.

Most, if not all, HP InkJet printers limit which ink can be used in the printer.

Know this, check at the Store before you buy - choose wisely.

Stay Safe.
