@mihcal, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Double-Sided Printing on HP LaserJet 1022!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you have a new PC and the PDF file does not currently offer double-sided printing, it is important to follow these steps to enable and manage duplex printing for your HP LaserJet 1022 printer.

Steps to Enable Double-Sided Printing:

Check Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed for your HP LaserJet 1022 printer. You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.

Access Printer Properties:

  • Open the Windows Start menu.
  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your HP LaserJet 1022 printer and select Printing preferences.

Enable Double-Sided Printing:

  • In the Printing Preferences window, look for the Layout tab or a similar section.
  • Select Duplex Printing (Manual) if it is not already selected.
  • Choose the binding preference (Long-Edge or Short-Edge binding).

NOTE: Since the HP LaserJet 1022 may not have an automatic duplexer, you might need to manually reinsert the paper to print on the other side.

Manual Duplex Printing Instructions:

Print the Odd Pages:

  • In your PDF reader, open the Print dialog box and select your printer.
  • Under Pages to Print, select Odd pages only.
  • Print the document.

Reinsert the Printed Paper:

  • Take the stack of printed pages, flip them, and reinsert them into the printer tray.

Print the Even Pages:

  • Go back to the Print dialog box.
  • Under Pages to Print, select Even pages only.
  • Print the document.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
