HP Officejet 7610 Wide AIO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

double-sided reduced HP OfficeJet 7610

Automatic double-sided printing works quite well (option built in).

BUT

There is a problem with the size.

Ever since the printer was purchased, the problem has been that the front and back sides are reduced in size when using this function. Everything printed is then only approx. 91.5% and the margin is correspondingly larger.

Surely this problem is already solved, right?

Where can I find the solution?

In comparison, the HP OfficeJet 7730 printer does an excellent job. Even with automatic double-sided printing, everything is true to scale.

I think this is due to the software or firmware.

I look forward to the solution. Thanks in advance.

The error was not solved.

But after problem with printhead, we had to buy a new printer.

The OfficeJet Pro 7740 wide AIO was found as the best for us.

Since 30 days we want a solution to install. The setup has problem to connect with windows 10 pro (and home?). It should be a Software-Error. 6 (six) supporter tryed to solve. It is not working.

see separate posts  " no connection at the end ..."  or  " ... no driver available after installation" for this printer.

anyway - the problem for 7610 exists no longer for us (only for us).

Bye

I would like to help

Please ensure the printer has the latest Firmware https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

Next uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Restart the computer and download the full feature software Link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL47659/mp-115382-3/OJ7610_971-2.exe and follow the onscreen instructions

Thank you for trying help.
Unfortunately that doesn't help.
The firmware is up to date.
I reinstalled the printer driver a few days ago.
Print and Scan Doctor found no problems.

I just checked the HP website for newer software and firmware, nothing new.

The problem has existed since the purchase. The firmware and software drivers need improvement for this HP OfficeJet 7610 Wide AIO.

Can you arrange that, please.
Thanks and regards

Unfortunately there is no solution.
On "KrazyToad's" advice, I asked the support again. The first time in February 2016. Since then, the problem has been known to HP. Obviously this is not taken seriously. No solution in sight. P.S. new models can print the back side 1: 1 - without downsizing to 91.5%.
For a solution: Where there's a will, there's a way.
To HP:
Maybe adapt a newer driver without much effort.
The post will remain open as long as this.

Dear HP

I am still waiting. There has to be a solution. You're welcome.

PS: Good products should be used as expected. This printer is a good product.

And for environmental protection: Good products should be able to be used for as long as possible.

This is also good for the image - not just selling new products.
