Hi, 

I have a HP 7720 and need to downgrade the firmware to allow third party ink cartridges to work. Please send instructions. I can provide email, phone and serial number if necessary. i have osx sytem

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you want to downgrade the ink cartridges, I am glad to assist you.

There is no option to downgrade the printer firmware.

It is not recommended to use third-party cartridges for better print quality.
