Hi @Pninula,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To download and install the HP OfficeJet 5255 printer on your laptop, follow these steps.

Find the WPS PIN:

  • The WPS PIN is usually displayed on the printer's screen when you select the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) option.
  • On the HP OfficeJet 5255 printer:
    1. Go to the Wireless menu on the printer's display.
    2. Select Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
    3. Choose WPS PIN.
    4. The printer will display an 8-digit PIN code. This is the WPS PIN you need to enter when prompted by your laptop.

Connect via WPS:

  • If your router has a WPS button:
    1. Press the WPS button on your router (usually located on the back or side of the router).
    2. Within 2 minutes, press the Wi-Fi button on the printer or follow the on-screen instructions to connect.
    3. The printer will automatically connect to the network.

Download and Install Drivers:

  • Go to the HP Support website and search for your printer model (HP OfficeJet 5255).
  • Download and install the full feature software for your printer. This will also install the necessary drivers.

Add the Printer:

  • After installing the software, connect the printer to your laptop:
    1. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners on your laptop.
    2. Click on Add a printer or scanner.
    3. Select your printer from the list and follow the instructions to add it.

Once this process is complete, you should be able to print from your laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
