Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂

I read that you need the Mac Sierra drivers for your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer. I'll do my best to help you with this case.

I did some research nd found that full featured drivers for Mac Sierra are not available for this printer. However, I do have a tested workaround for you that has helped in installing this printer on Mac Sierra. Please perform the following steps to add the printer drivers from Mac OS update:

  • Please download the Mac inbuilt drivers from this link: http://hp.care/2flF56z.
  • From System Preferences, click on Print & Scan.
  • Click the Plus sign.
  • Select the listed LaserJet Professional P1100w (This printer's drivers should work).
  • Click the drop-down menu next to Use or Print Using and click on Select Printer Software.
  • Select the LaserJet Professional P1100w from the list.
  • Click OK to confirm your selection and add the printer, then try printing using the configured print queue.

The above steps should help you print now from your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer.

Hope this information helps. Please feel free to let me know the results. Cheers! 🙂

gent. Kazi, I tried to follow his instructions, but do not work: if I add drivers P1100w the Mac does not recognize any printer; if I try to let drivers P1102w mistakes him for a scanner .... we are desperate ....

Thanks for replying with the results.

Please reset the printing system in Mac by following the steps from this link: http://hp.care/2jxPdMX

Then once again add the printer in Mac:

  • Please download the Mac inbuilt drivers from this link: http://hp.care/2flF56z.
  • From System Preferences, click on Print & Scan.
  • Click the Plus sign.
  • Select the listed LaserJet Professional P1100w (This printer's drivers should work).
  • Click the drop-down menu next to Use or Print Using and click on Select Printer Software.
  • Select the LaserJet Professional P1100w from the list.
  • Click OK to confirm your selection and add the printer, then try printing using the configured print queue.

Hope this helps. Good luck! 🙂

gent. Kazi, I tried to follow his instructions, but the solutions he suggests sometimes work other times do not work; All this has created considerable difficulties in my office (I have 10 macs and as many hp laserjet P1102w printers); I still can not understand why HP does not provide drivers for this printer with Mac OS Sierra, it is still a recent printer; And it is not even honest what I have been suggested by Italy HP customer support, that is to replace all printers "because this is the case nowadays with all the technology" .... I hope we can find a solution that Both respectful of customers; I'm still very disappointed by both HP and Apple

Hi can you ask your team to contact me as well?

I do all the time the same thing...

Delete HP drivers, install new ones, reinstall the printer again.

I have a P1102 not wireless. I've tried all! Really!!

Sometimes it works with the driver of the P1100.

All the times I plug it in, it says:

Disk unrecognized... options:  expel or ignore?

A printer is not a disk! What does that mean?

Moreover if I use the preintalled driver for a HP1102 it appears as a scaner and simply don't work at all after installation.

Really it's very anoying and I often need to send what I've written to my clients via email because printer doesn't work!

I use it in my workplace in my MacBook runing Sierra.

Please help me!

Hi Carpa82, you have described very well the problems I have found; Unfortunately neither Apple nor HP gave a solution; I am very disappointed, but this is the sad reality
