Printer is supported by the Universal Printer driver PCL5 or you should be able to use this plug and play driver package released by HP. https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL30863/lj-76599-3/ljP2035-gdi-pnp-win64-en.exe

Thanks for your suggestion.  I tried downloading the driver using the URL  FTP........However when i tried to run it, it went into a never never land which is what was happening when I was downloading  it from the HP site.  Would appreciate any other suggestions.   where can I find the PCL 5 driver on the HP website   Thanks

I have found that sometimes it will unpack the drivers but fail to install, I never use the automatic install myself. Check your C drive for a folder named HPUPD or HP Universal print driver. Example below is from my system which I do not have the UPD on any longer, just the Smart UPD. Do a manual install of the printer from the control panel>devices and printers. When prompted which driver to use, click have disk and browse to that folder.
