I downloaded the driver for this printer

Basic_Webpack_x86-44.9.2760-LJM203-M206_UWWL_Basicx86_Webpack (XP32).exe

and it would not run (claimed "not for this version of Windows" and yes I have the needful MSFT extensions installed). So I manually unpacked it and ran it via Add Printer. Promptly found the printer and everything appeared to install, BUT when it finally reached "Finish" I got this weird error:

The handle is invalid.

Part two:

When it's plugged into the router it is seen and has an IP address. But I am unable to install it as a network printer; it never shows up in the list. No joy from attempted wireless setup either; it just blinks forever.

Tried installing it on the linux box using the HP setup utility. It sees the printer and gets all the way to the end BUT then complains that it can't set up print queue, and fails.

At one point it did spit out a "wireless network test report"  but under "connected" it says FAIL.

I have other network printers installed and had no such problems with them.
