I am trying to set up duplex printing with my printer and it is not responding when I click the test page. It says in the preferences that it will print 2 sided.

@Sischo_-Kid7, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!

I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.

The HP DeskJet 2852e supports manual duplex printing, which means you’ll need to reinsert the pages yourself to print on both sides. Here's how to set it up correctly:

Steps to Enable Manual Duplex Printing on Windows 10

Open the Print Dialog:

  • Open the document you want to print.
  • Press Ctrl + P or go to File > Print.

Select Your Printer:

  • Choose HP DeskJet 2852e from the printer list.

Open Printer Properties / Preferences:

  • Click Printer Properties or Preferences (depending on the app).

Enable Two-Sided Printing:

  • Look for an option like “Print on Both Sides” or “Manual Duplex”.
  • Select Manual Duplex or Flip Pages Over (wording may vary).

Print the First Side:

  • The printer will print one side of the pages.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to reinsert the pages correctly for the second side.

Complete the Print Job:

  • After reinserting, the printer will print the second side.

⚠️ Note: Automatic duplexing is not supported on this model. You must manually flip the pages.
