HP Recommended

Hi - we have the laserjet pro MFP 4101dw.  In the manual from the HP website here it says on page 52 that we can select "2-Sided" when printing from a USB flash drive inserted into the USB port on the front of the printer.

 

However, when we try this, "2-Sided" does not show up as an option on the control panel display, and the pdf document prints one-sided.  This was the case for multiple different pdf documents.

 

On the embedded web server under "copy/print" -> "print" -> "default settings" we have set "duplex" to "enable".  Double-sided printing works fine from a computer.  The printer has the latest firmware, version LOCHSAXXXN002.2404A.00.

 

Is the manual in error?  Can we print 2-sided from a USB flash drive?
