envy 4500 tray extender lost, or broken

ENVY 4500 printer was put away for a while.  Where is paper tray extender?  is it a separate piece or comes out of paper tray? 

can someone send a picture.   if broken, is there a replacement part, or something simple DIY to keep the papers from falling on the ground?

The paper tray extender is a part of the output tray. Kindly refer to the below image.

10 - Paper tray extender  (also  referred to as the tray extender)

It automatically pops out when a print job is given to the printer.

If it is not popping out, use a thin, rigid tool to pull it out. If it is broken, it cannot be replaced. This part is not available. The printer has to be serviced/replaced.
