I have the same issue of the printer not printing in color. It scans and copies in color. Any printed diagnostic paper comes out in color.

 

I have done everything you suggested and other HP employees suggested on this very same subject, right down the line and...nothing. Still won't print in color. I am tired of this problem. Installing, uninstalling; plug in , unplug; connect, unconnect...I have done it all. Programs, drivers, Dr. diagnostics; everything. I am ready to give up!!

 

If you have any OTHER suggestions, please reply. I am not going to repeat things I have already done before multiple times.

Frustrated, yet hopeful.

The model was Envy 4520; operating system win10.

I am sorry but after working on this problem for literally hours, I got fed up and have since  gotten a refund for it.

One problem I see is with the Windows 10 OS. Windows 10 doesn't have a color option show up in the print dialog box. There is absolutely no color option available.

This isn't happening with my Windows 7, on my laptop I can print color just fine.
