Hi @parker20241,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how  it can be when scanning features don’t connect properly, especially since printing from your computer is working fine.

In the meantime, here are few  steps you can try :

01.Check Network Connection

The printer must be connected to the same network as your computer for scan-to-email or scan-to-PC to work.

On printer: Setup → Network Settings → Wireless Setup Wizard

Ensure the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi

Verify your computer is on the same Wi-Fi network

Restart your router if needed

02.Verify HP Software

The HP software on your computer manages scanning features.

On computer: HP Printer Assistant → Scan → Manage Scan to Computer

Make sure 'Enable Scan to Computer' is checked

Restart the HP Printer Assistant software

Reinstall HP drivers if the option is missing

03.Check Scan to Email Setup

Scan to Email requires configuration before use.

On printer: Setup → Scan → Scan to Email Setup

Ensure your email profile is set up correctly

Update SMTP server settings if required

Test with a different email account

04.Restart Devices

Refreshing connections often resolves server errors.

Power off the printer, wait 30 seconds, then restart

Restart your computer

Restart your router

I hope this helps.
