Hi @TheRock5

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're having a tough time setting up your printer. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the error messages and get your printer connected to your computer:

1. Check Connections

  • Ensure the printer is properly plugged in and powered on.
  • If it's a wired connection, check that the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
  • For wireless printers, make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

2. Restart Devices

  • Restart both your printer and computer. This can resolve many temporary connectivity issues.

3. Update Printer Drivers

  • Go to the Hp website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Install the drivers following the on-screen instructions.

4. Run the Printer Troubleshooter

  • On Windows, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your printer and click on Manage, then select Run the troubleshooter.
  • Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix any issues.

5. Reset the Printer

  • Look for a reset option in the printer's settings menu. This may vary by model, but usually involves navigating to Settings > Maintenance or similar.
  • Alternatively, unplug the printer from the power source for about 60 seconds and then plug it back in.

6. Remove and Re-add Printer

  • In Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners, remove the printer from the list.
  • Then, click on Add a printer or scanner to re-add it.

7. Check for Firewall/Antivirus Issues

  • Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software can block printer connections. Temporarily disable them to see if it resolves the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
