Extremely frustrated with HP!!
I forgot my internal password for my HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28-M31 and need to factory reset. I am finding no support other than reboot while holding the "RESUME" button?
To perform a factory reset on an HP LaserJet MFP M29w, you can follow the steps below.
- Power off the printer by pressing the power button.
- Disconnect the power cable from the printer.
- Wait for approximately 10 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cable to the printer.
- Press and hold the Resume button while turning on the printer. Keep holding the button until all the lights on the control panel become active.
- Once all the lights are on, release the Resume button.
- The printer will initialize and begin the factory reset process. This may take a few minutes.
- Once the factory reset is complete, the printer will restart.
There is no "RESUME" button on my printer or indicated in the set up diagrams. Anyone know how I can factory reset?
