HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

On 03/22/24 I gave a printer number to an HP tech and ERROR keeps popping up. This was approx. 10 pm last Friday. I need to make sure printer is SET UP with driver etc. and I need assistance with printing from a file on desktop or PDF file; thanks.

This is the full feature software for your printer

The printer needs to be on the same subnet as the rest of your devices unless they use AirPrint or Wi-Fi direct. Check the IP4 address of your computer and then get a network printout and see if both the printer and the computer are on the same network. Using the windows command prompt, copy and paste the following into the CMD window

ipconfig | find /i "ipv4"

For example

Get a printer report. The PINs and Passwords should show up. Here is the important stuff from a typical report. The password shown in WiFi can be the printers PIN or the modem's password depending on how you connected to the modem.

LANSTATUSIP addressSSIDPassword
WiFienabled192.168.1.15ATT-ARRISGuessAgain
WiFi-directenabled192.168.123.1DIRECT-WHATEVERBadGuess
Wireddisabled
USBdisabled

note that the printer and the computer are on 192.168.1 which is the same subnet
