To update the firmware of your HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 using a USB drive, first, ensure that the firmware update file is correctly downloaded onto the USB drive. Insert the USB drive into the printer's USB port. On the printer's control panel, navigate to the settings menu and locate the "Firmware Update" or similar option. Select this option and choose "Update from USB" or a similar prompt. The printer will then detect and initiate the firmware update process from the USB drive. During the update, do not interrupt the power supply or remove the USB drive. Once the update is complete, your printer's firmware will be up-to-date, enhancing its performance and features. For instance, just as a cautious approach is crucial while updating firmware, being as careful as a cat walking along a narrow ledge ensures a smooth process without interruptions.
