I live in mexico and speak only english at least for tecchie things.  Ordered a brand new printer off amazon was defective, spent hours and hours trying to get help, now the new replacement one is having issues, says the printer is OUT OF WARRANTY!  How can this be since it just arrived a week ago!  I am so frustrated with HP and trying to obtain help here in mexico is impossible or finding an agent to talk to.

Welcome to the HP Community --

I am sorry this happened -- So disappointing!

If the model you purchased is an HP Smart Tank 210, the  model was released for purchase in March 2023 --

Open

 Product Home - Printers

Enter the device type and model name of your HP product

OR

Select a saved product from HP Account Dashboard

OR

HP Smart Tank 210 Printer series

If you have not done so, please do try here:

HP PCs, printers - Dispute a warranty status

What if?

Dragon Opinion, based on having answered questions of this type in the Community --

An HP printer, purchased nearly three years after its initial release is perhaps not eligible for the one year Warranty that would have come with the unit while it was considered a current model.  The extended time between release and eventual purchase by a consumer might result in the "Dispute Warranty" failing or not even finding the product for check.

HP stops selling a product when it is no longer in production and / or when perhaps the product is considered by HP as no longer current in the market.

Other merchants might sell products until that merchant's product inventory is depleted.  Based on the reports and comments we've seen, the practice of selling inventory until gone is perhaps common.

Were it mine to do, I'd try to retrieve a refund from the merchant or from Amazon.

What else?
